O Biomas Brasil produz e dissemina inteligência territorial para que comunidades e instituições conheçam suas condições, decidam e ajam coletivamente pela conservação e regeneração de ecossistemas — em escala de bacias e microbacias hidrográficas. Biomas Brasil produces and disseminates territorial intelligence so that communities and institutions can know their conditions, decide, and act collectively for the conservation and regeneration of ecosystems — at the scale of watersheds and micro-watersheds.

Defesa, preservação e conservação do meio ambiente, promoção do desenvolvimento sustentável e regeneração de ecossistemas em escala de bacias e microbacias hidrográficas — por meio da produção e disseminação de inteligência territorial que permita às comunidades e instituições de um território conhecer suas condições, decidir e agir coletivamente pela conservação da biodiversidade. Defense, preservation, and conservation of the environment, promotion of sustainable development, and regeneration of ecosystems at the scale of watersheds and micro-watersheds — through the production and dissemination of territorial intelligence that enables the communities and institutions of a territory to know their conditions, decide, and act collectively for the conservation of biodiversity.

Uma camada contínua de dados territoriais: o retrato vivo das condições sociais e ambientais da bacia, a serviço das decisões coletivas de quem vive nela. Dados coletados com consentimento livre, prévio e informado (FPIC) e conformidade com a LGPD.A continuous layer of territorial data: a living portrait of the watershed's social and environmental conditions, in service of the collective decisions of those who live there. Programa de incentivo aos guardiões locaisLocal stewards incentive program

Programa que reconhece e fortalece guardiões do território: identidade, rede, formação e apoio a projetos liderados por quem cuida da bacia há anos.A program that recognizes and strengthens local stewards of the territory: identity, network, training, and support for projects led by those who have cared for the watershed for years.

Trabalhamos em escala de bacia hidrográfica porque é nela que as condições ecológicas e sociais de um território se encontram: a água conecta florestas, vilas, nascentes e mar. We work at watershed scale because that is where a territory's ecological and social conditions meet: water connects forests, villages, springs, and the sea.

A atuação pode se estender a todo o território nacional, com prioridade para o sul da Bahia. Uma segunda bacia de atuação está prevista para o primeiro ano de operação. Our work may extend across Brazil, with priority in southern Bahia. A second watershed is planned for the first year of operation.

No território, participamos do Fórum Sul da Bahia e construímos relações com órgãos públicos como o INEMA, a agência ambiental da Bahia. In the territory, we take part in the Fórum Sul da Bahia and build relationships with public bodies such as INEMA, Bahia's environmental agency.
